Shabad Hazare
(Guru Arjan Dev)

My soul longs for a sight of the Guru.
It bewails like the pied cuckoo.

My thirst is not quenched nor peace I find,
without the sight of the Beloved Guru Saint.

I am a sacrifice and my soul I sacrifice
unto the sight of the Beloved Guru.

Thy face is beautiful and the sound of
Thine word imparts divine knowledge.
it is long since the sparrowhawk had a glimpse of water.
Blessed is the land where Thou livest,
O venerable divine Guru, my friend and intimate.

If I met Thee not even for a moment, then the dark age dawned for me.
When shall I now meet Thee, O my beloved auspicious Lord.
I cannot pass the night and sleep does not
come to me without beholding the Guru's court.
I am a sacrifice and I sacrifice my soul
unto that true court of the venerable Guru.
It is my good fortune to have met the saintly Guru.
The immortal Lord I have found in my own home.

I will now serve Thee and even for a trice and
a moment will not separate from thee.
Servant Nanak is a slave of thine O revered Master.

I am devoted and my soul is devoted unto Thee
Servant Nanak is a slave of Thine O revered master.

Sat Nam.
